Procuradoria Geral da República, Federal government building in Federal District, Brazil.

The Procuradoria Geral da República is the federal prosecutors' headquarters in Brasília, comprising six interconnected buildings with rounded shapes and exposed concrete in modernist style. The complex houses offices, a medical center, restaurant facilities, and the JK Auditorium.

The building was included in Lúcio Costa's original urban plan for Brasília in 1960, but construction did not begin until 1996 and was completed in 2002. This long delay between planning and execution reflects how the capital developed gradually over decades.

The complex integrates into Brasília's Pilot Plan, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site for its architectural design. The rounded shapes and exposed concrete reflect the modernist philosophy that defines how the entire capital looks and feels.

The complex is accessible by public transportation and has large parking areas. Keep in mind that the buildings are working government spaces, so public access may be limited to exterior viewing or guided tours.

Block A appears to float without visible support columns, using a star-shaped concrete structure at the top with tension cables to transfer weight to the central pillar. This visible cable system is an unusual engineering feat that demonstrates the technical boldness of the design.
