Caixa Cultural

The Caixa Cultural functions as both a modern theater and museum space, featuring contemporary architecture with spacious exhibition galleries, performance areas, and outdoor sculpture gardens that accommodate diverse cultural activities and educational programs for visitors of all ages.

Inaugurated in 1980 as the first cultural space created by Caixa Econômica Federal in Brazil, this institution was established in the Setor Bancário Sul area to promote artistic manifestations and provide accessible cultural experiences to the federal capital's growing population.

The complex serves as a platform for Brazilian and international artists, hosting curated exhibitions that reflect historical, social and contemporary aspects of Brazil while promoting cultural exchange through workshops, lectures and performances that celebrate diverse artistic expressions and creative development.

Located near Galeria metro station and urban bus terminals in central Brasília, the facility offers wheelchair accessibility, parking for over 3,000 square meters, and houses multiple galleries including a 406-seat theater with adapted seating for people with reduced mobility.

The venue combines indoor exhibition spaces totaling over 800 square meters with an outdoor sculpture garden spanning more than 9,000 square meters, creating one of Brasília's most comprehensive cultural complexes that integrates urban planning with artistic expression.
