Edifício Sulacap, Art Deco office building in Salvador, Brazil.

The Sulacap building occupies 4,000 square meters at the intersection of Avenida Sete de Setembro and Rua Carlos Gomes, facing Castro Alves Square.

Architects Anton Floderer and Robert Prentice designed this seven-story structure in 1946, marking the modernization period of Salvador's urban landscape.

The building became a gathering point for musicians during carnival celebrations, with notable visitors including Gilberto Gil and conductor Carlos Lacerda.

The commercial complex contains 121 shops and four retail spaces, distributed across its seven floors with individual units averaging 32 square meters.

In 2008, the State Culture Council initiated preservation measures for this Art Deco structure, leading to its provisional protected status.
