Praia de Aleluia

Praia de Aleluia is a beach in Stella Maris stretching roughly 500 meters along the shore with green-tinted waters and natural rock formations. Coconut palms line the coast, with basic beach kiosks and umbrellas scattered along the sand.

The beach emerged as a destination alongside residential developments and hotel construction in the Stella Maris neighborhood. This growth connected the coastal area to Salvador's urban expansion over recent decades.

The beach serves as a gathering place for young Salvador residents who come for water sports and social meetings. Families and friends use the space throughout the day, drawn by the calm waters at certain times and the dynamic wave conditions at others.

The beach is near Salvador's airport and reachable through unpaved roads, so plan for rough access routes. Tidal conditions change the experience significantly, so check whether you prefer calm waters or wave conditions before heading out.

At low tide, natural rock pools form ideal spots for swimming, while high tide brings strong waves that draw surfers and kitesurfers. The same stretch of beach transforms into different experiences depending on when you visit.
