Museum of Sound and Image of Alagoas

The Museum of Sound and Image of Alagoas contains collections of photographs, records, digital videos, and vintage audiovisual equipment documenting the region's history.

The institution opened on September 3, 1981, and underwent significant renovations in 2001 to restore the heritage building on Sá e Albuquerque street.

The museum houses extensive records of political, social, and artistic events in Alagoas, including analog cameras, radios, and compact cassette tapes.

Visitors can access current exhibitions and special programs through the State Secretariat for Culture website, which manages the museum's operations.

Since 2016, the Misa Acústico project has provided local musicians with performance opportunities and financial support to promote regional musical traditions.
