Museu Palácio Floriano Peixoto

The Palácio Floriano Peixoto Museum is a historic museum in central Maceió displaying furniture, silverware, crystal, and decorative items from the 19th and 20th centuries. Its rooms are arranged with original pieces that convey how people lived and what they valued during that period.

Construction of the palace began in 1893 under military engineer Carlos Jorge Calheiros de Lima. The building was officially opened as a government seat in 1902 and became an important center of power in the state.
