Japaratinga

Japaratinga is a municipality along the Costa dos Corais coast in Alagoas, featuring white sand beaches and nearby coral reefs throughout its coastal area. Roads connect different parts of the shore, where visitors can find local guesthouses, small hotels, and larger resort properties.

The settlement began as a fishing village in the 1800s and became an official municipality in 1960. This shift from a simple working community to a formal administrative area shaped how it developed afterward.
