Cabo Branco Lighthouse, Triangular lighthouse on cliffs in João Pessoa, Brazil
The concrete tower features three wing-like projections rising 3.5 meters above the base level, painted white with a horizontal black stripe.
Built in 1972 during Emilio Medici's government, this 18-meter structure stands 800 meters north of Ponta do Seixas, the easternmost point of the Americas.
The architectural design represents a sisal plant, reflecting the agricultural heritage and economic importance of sisal cultivation in Paraiba state.
Despite lacking an actual light system, the structure functions as a navigation marker with a focal height of 45 meters and range of 27 nautical miles.
The lighthouse operates without lights and features an unconventional triangular shape with protruding wings, making it the only such structure worldwide.
