Randburg

Randburg is a district comprising 32 suburbs within Johannesburg, mixing residential neighborhoods, business areas, and shopping centers throughout the zone. The area combines living spaces with commercial zones where shops and services meet everyday needs.

The area developed from four Boer farms that were gradually transformed into an urban district over time. Following a public competition in 1959, it became an established residential zone with growing infrastructure.

The district sits roughly 11 kilometers from Sandton and 18 kilometers northwest of central Johannesburg with good road connections. Visitors will find a network of main routes and public transport links that make moving around the different areas straightforward.

The area features a dedicated field hockey stadium and serves as a significant automotive industry hub in the Strijdom Park commercial section. This blend of sports and manufacturing reflects the zone's economic diversity.
