Ambohitsorohitra Palace

Ambohitsorohitra Palace is a neo-Renaissance structure with white walls and ornamental details located in the heart of Antananarivo, serving as Madagascar's presidential office. The multi-story building features symmetrical facades and guard stations that mark its formal status within the city.

The French architect Jully designed this palace between 1890 and 1892, initially as a residence for a French general during the colonial era. The building later became a seat of government power and figured in various political transitions throughout Madagascar's modern history.
