Kiambu County is an administrative division in Central Province, Kenya, located near Nairobi and covering highlands, midlands, and farming areas. The region features rolling green hills, cropland, and scattered settlements linked by an extensive road network.
The area was established as Kiambu Native District Council in 1925 and took its name from the sounds of tribal clashes between local groups and Maasai. Over the following decades, the region evolved from a rural administrative unit into a county with greater self-governance.
