Museum Serangga dan Taman Kupu-Kupu

The Museum Serangga dan Taman Kupu-Kupu is an educational facility located within Taman Mini Indonesia Indah that houses extensive insect collections. The exhibition displays hundreds of specimens organized in specialized cases, including numerous butterfly and beetle varieties.

The facility was established in 1993 through the efforts of the Indonesian Zoo Association and Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense as an educational resource. This founding created a dedicated space for studying and displaying the country's insect diversity.

The building itself takes the shape of a grasshopper, merging local architectural traditions with the museum's focus on insects. This design choice makes the connection between the structure and its purpose immediately clear to visitors walking through the space.
