Al-Imtizaj Mosque, Modern mosque in Bandung City, Indonesia
The Al-Imtizaj Mosque features red, golden, and yellow colors throughout its structure, combining Chinese architectural elements with traditional Islamic design patterns.
Former Governor of West Java R. Nuriana initiated the construction of Al-Imtizaj Mosque in 2008 at the location of a previous Matahari department store.
The mosque incorporates a 5-meter high paifang entrance gate and Chinese design elements, reflecting the connection between Indonesian and Chinese communities.
The two-floor prayer space accommodates 200 worshippers, with separate areas designated for men on the ground floor and women on the upper level.
The mosque entrance displays hanging lanterns and includes a golden bowl-shaped ablution area, merging Islamic requirements with Chinese decorative traditions.
