Al-Imtizaj Mosque

Al-Imtizaj Mosque is a modern prayer house in Bandung that blends Chinese and Islamic architectural styles throughout its design. The two-story interior provides separate prayer areas for men on the ground floor and women upstairs, decorated with red, golden, and yellow tones that reflect both traditions.

Construction began in 2008 on a site that previously housed a Matahari department store, initiated by the Governor of West Java at that time. This conversion transformed a commercial space into a community-focused place of worship.

The mosque reflects the connection between Indonesian and Chinese communities through its architectural choices and daily use. Visitors can observe how Chinese design elements like the paifang gate and hanging lanterns blend with Islamic traditions in this shared space.
