Collins Place

Collins Place is a mixed-use building complex in Melbourne's central business district, consisting of two angled towers clad in tan masonry panels. The ground level opens into a shopping plaza, while upper floors contain offices and a hotel section.

Development began in the late 1960s when ANZ Bank acquired properties on Collins Street and initiated the project. The complex was completed in 1981 and became a significant addition to Melbourne's business district.

The cinema here opened in 1987 and became a popular destination for catching films in the city. It serves as a social gathering place for both locals and visitors.

The location is easily reached via Parliament Station and several tram lines serving the area. A 24-hour parking facility nearby provides convenient access for those arriving by car.

The hotel section features a 15-level atrium with an open, light-filled design that stands out in the area. This interior space creates an uncommon architectural experience within the building.
