St Michael's Uniting Church

St Michael's Uniting Church features Lombardic Romanesque architecture with round arches, a tall square bell tower, and polychrome brickwork on its exterior walls.

The current structure, completed in 1866, replaced the original Collins Street Independent Church from 1839, marking one of the first churches in Port Phillip District.

The interior contains tiered seating arrangements and modern stained glass windows installed during Australia's Bicentennial in 1988, depicting humanity's path toward hope.

The building stands adjacent to the 120 Collins Street office tower and maintains regular religious services under the guidance of Rev Dr Margaret Mayman.

The church includes Mingary, a dedicated space established in 1999 that provides low-cost counseling services through the Cairnmillar Institute partnership.
