Sydney Showground is a large arena in the Sydney Olympic Park area of Sydney, Australia. It combines indoor halls, open outdoor spaces, and exhibition areas that can be used for very different types of events.
The site was built for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and hosted several competitions during the Games. After the Olympics, it was converted into a general events venue, taking on fairs, concerts, and trade shows over the following years.
The showground sits within Sydney Olympic Park and is easy to reach by train, bus, or ferry, as the Olympic Park station is right next to the site. Visitors arriving by car will find parking nearby, though booking in advance is a good idea during major events.
The site has quiet rooms available during select events, designed as calm spaces with soft lighting for visitors who need a break from the crowds. Assistance dogs are also welcome on the grounds, provided their owners carry the proper identification.
