73 York Street, Sydney, Heritage office building in Sydney, Australia.

73 York Street is a five-story office building with a brick facade, three tall arched openings, and a slate roof. The base features rusticated stucco work with decorative molded elements running across the exterior.

Construction took place in 1892 following designs by Herbert S. Thompson, with the structure originally serving as a trading house for Alcock Brothers Ltd. The building stands as a record of Sydney's commercial development during that period.

The building reflects late Victorian design choices that shaped how Sydney's business district looked during the commercial boom of that era.

The building sits in Sydney's business district and remains visible from the street, where visitors can appreciate the preserved historical details. Access to the interior is limited to current office users, but the exterior architecture can be fully examined from outside.

Four original cast iron columns survive in the basement, showing how the structure was built during the 1892 construction period. These foundational elements date directly from when the building was first erected and remain largely unseen by regular visitors.
