St Stephen's Uniting Church, Gothic church in Sydney central business district, Australia
Located at 197 Macquarie Street, St Stephen's Uniting Church displays a sandstone facade with carved tracery and leadlight windows in the Inter War Gothic style.
The congregation originated in 1842 at Phillip Street, moved to an Iron Church, and settled in the current building constructed between 1935 and 1937.
The church maintains a musical program including a choir, classical concerts on Fridays, and provides scholarships to Sydney Conservatorium of Music students.
Visitors can attend monthly lunchtime concerts and organ recitals on the last Friday of each month, with contact available through phone or email.
The building houses one of Australia's few operational electronic tubular bell carillons, installed during the 1960s, and a pipe organ with 61 stops.
