Trickett's Hotel, Heritage hotel in Sydney, Australia
Located at the intersection of Pitt, Hunter, and O'Connell Streets, Trickett's Hotel stands as a twelve-floor structure with reinforced concrete construction and marble interiors.
Between 1922 and 1929, architects Manson & Pickering designed this building, which initially served as an office for The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
The building demonstrates Interwar Commercial Renaissance Palazzo architecture, incorporating design elements from Italian Renaissance buildings within Sydney's business district.
The central light court extends through all levels to the basement, providing natural illumination throughout the building's commercial spaces and guest areas.
The structure transformed from a newspaper office to the Bank of New South Wales before becoming part of the Radisson Blu hotel chain.
