Roxy Theatre and Peters Greek Cafe Complex

The Roxy Theatre and Peters Greek Cafe Complex is an entertainment venue with cinema, cafe, and museum in Bingara. The original fixtures from the 1930s remain in place, including lighting, plasterwork, and Art Deco details on walls and ceilings.

Three Greek immigrants from Kythera founded this venue in 1936 as a cinema and gathering place. After decades of operation, it closed and was later restored to function as an event space.

The Greek Cafe Museum displays how Greek migrants shaped entertainment and dining in rural communities. Visitors see personal items and photographs that tell the stories of this local population.

The building is easily reached from the town center and provides access to both cinema and cafe areas. Visitors should check if special events are planned, as the venue hosts various activities throughout the year.

The building uses vertical space creatively, with a function hall situated above while public areas operate below. This stacking allows multiple activities to happen simultaneously in the same structure.
