Noosa River Caravan Park, Heritage caravan park in Noosaville, Queensland
Noosa River Caravan Park is a camping ground on waterfront land at Munna Point in Noosaville, Queensland, Australia. The site has open grassed areas, a sandy beach along the river, and spaces for both caravans and tents spread across the grounds.
The site was officially set up as a camping reserve in 1956 under Noosa Shire Council management. Records show that the land was already used for camping and outdoor gatherings from 1929 onward.
Many visitors use the riverbank for fishing or kayaking, and the water is visible from most parts of the grounds. This closeness to the river shapes how people spend their time here, often outdoors and near the water's edge.
The park offers both powered and unpowered sites, a shared camp kitchen, a boat ramp, and several amenities blocks across the grounds. Booking ahead is recommended, especially during school holidays and long weekends when demand is high.
The park sits at the point where Noosa River meets Weyba Creek, and the shape of the water changes noticeably with the tides. This meeting of waterways attracts birds and other wildlife that visitors can often spot from the bank without any equipment.
