Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre

The Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre is a multipurpose venue on the Queensland waterfront that holds approximately 5,250 people. The facility features flexible interior spaces that can be configured for different types of events.

The project came together in the early 1990s in response to growing demand for large event spaces across Northern Australia. Since its opening, it has become the anchor for sports leagues and national championships.

The venue has gone by different nicknames depending on which sports team called it home at any given time. These changing names reflect the shifting loyalties and history of local basketball squads and their supporters.
