Kincaid Park

Kincaid Park is a large municipal area in Anchorage covered with dense forest and rolling terrain. The site features an extensive network of trails designed for multiple outdoor activities year-round, with a recreational facility located near the western access point.

The grounds once functioned as a military installation during the Cold War era. Following the closure of military operations, the site was redeveloped into public recreational spaces.

The park serves as a hub for winter sports enthusiasts who gather to train and compete on the ski trails. It functions as a social gathering place where Nordic skiing connects both recreational athletes and serious competitors.

The park is accessible from the western end of Raspberry Road and features a recreational center. Visitors should prepare for conditions that vary significantly by season and dress appropriately for outdoor activities.

The trail network includes illuminated routes that allow winter activities during the long dark seasons. These paths connect to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, creating a larger recreational corridor through the area.
