The Lomita Railroad Museum features a 1902 Baldwin steam locomotive, Southern Pacific tender, and multiple vintage train cars for exploration.
The museum opened its doors in 1966 as a memorial to the times when steam-powered trains transformed transportation across the United States.
The museum building replicates the 19th-century Boston & Maine Greenwood Station that originally stood in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
The museum welcomes visitors from Thursday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, remaining closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Visitors can examine a full-scale water tower replica and explore various train cars, including a 1910 Union Pacific caboose and Union Oil tank car.
