Galen Center

The Galen Center is a modern sports arena located at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Figueroa Street, designed to accommodate multiple sporting events and performances. The facility holds over 10,000 seats and offers flexible configuration options for various types of events.

Construction began in October 2004 and the building opened in October 2006 after a substantial investment. The center was built to meet the growing need for a modern multipurpose sports facility at the university.

The basketball court inside is named after a former USC player, an honorable tribute made possible through a generous anonymous donation. This naming often surprises visitors, as it reveals the deep connection between the arena and the university's basketball tradition.
