Constructed in 1927 for $392,000, the building housed numerous motion picture actors including Marie Dressler and Loretta Young during Hollywood's early days.
The structure transformed from luxury residences to offices and now contains Katana Robata & Sushi Bar while maintaining its architectural heritage.

In 1983, following substantial fire damage, the property earned National Register of Historic Places status and underwent renovation to become Piazza del Sol.
