Price Center, Student center at University of California San Diego, United States.
Price Center is a student union at the University of California San Diego spanning four floors with multiple levels of activity throughout the building. The facility includes dining venues, shops, study areas, meeting rooms, and a bookstore serving the campus community.
The center opened in 1989 after students voted to fund its construction through a campus referendum. A major retail figure donated two million dollars to support the project.
The central atrium features an art installation that incorporates quotes from artists and scientists into the architectural space. This artwork shapes how visitors experience the interior and creates a sense of intellectual presence.
Parking is available at the adjacent Gilman Parking Structure for those driving to the site. Inside, visitors can navigate dining options, study spaces, and meeting areas spread across the building.
A major renovation in 2008 added new spaces and introduced a bronze sculpture at the south entrances. This expansion responded to the growing student population on campus.
