Andrew McNally House, Queen Anne mansion in Altadena, United States.

The Andrew McNally House was a Queen Anne Victorian mansion at East Mariposa Street and Santa Rosa Avenue in Altadena, designed by Pasadena architect Frederick Roehrig. Built in 1890, the 6,938-square-foot house had 22 rooms and faced south, away from the street, with views of the Los Angeles Basin, the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island. A three-story rotunda gave a view north to the San Gabriel Mountains. It was destroyed by the Eaton Fire on January 8, 2025.

Andrew McNally, co-founder of Rand McNally, moved west in 1880 and had this house built in 1890 on East Mariposa Street at Santa Rosa Avenue. He paid Pasadena architect Frederick Roehrig $15,000 to design the Queen Anne Victorian mansion, which had 22 rooms. McNally died in 1904, the property was subdivided, and the Sylvestre Dupuy family bought and restored the house in 1955. It was destroyed by the Eaton Fire on January 8, 2025.

McNally was an Irish immigrant printer who co-founded Rand McNally with William Rand after they met at the Chicago Tribune. In Altadena he promoted the area so actively that friends built mansions along Mariposa Street, which locals called "Millionaire's Row". His gardener also tended the deodar cedars along Santa Rosa Avenue, later known as Christmas Tree Lane.

The house stood on East Mariposa Street at Santa Rosa Avenue, on the slope of Altadena facing south over the Los Angeles Basin. It was destroyed by the Eaton Fire on January 8, 2025, so there is no interior to tour; the site and the nearby deodar cedars of Christmas Tree Lane on Santa Rosa Avenue are what remain to see.

McNally built a private railroad line connecting Altadena Junction directly to his property, allowing him to travel by rail from his home. This rare personal infrastructure revealed the extraordinary wealth and influence the publishing magnate held in the region.
