Gen. Charles S. Farnsworth County Park

Gen. Charles S. Farnsworth County Park is a botanical garden and historic park in Altadena with diverse plant collections throughout its grounds. The William D. Davies Memorial Building displays American craftsman architecture from the 1930s era.

The land was purchased by Los Angeles County in 1921 for a nursery and later converted to a public park under General Charles S. Farnsworth's oversight. This transformation reflected the area's growing need for public recreation space.

The grounds serve the community as a gathering place for outdoor events and seasonal celebrations. People use the gardens regularly for public functions and local activities.
