Junior Seau Pier Amphitheatre

The Junior Seau Pier Amphitheatre is a performance venue on Oceanside Pier with permanent seating for about 1500 people and additional standing room for more spectators. It features a covered stage and sits right on the waterfront with ocean views.

The site was first built in 1919 and underwent major renovations in the late 1920s and again in the 1950s. What stands today is the third version of a performance venue at this waterfront location.

The amphitheater serves as a gathering place for community celebrations like Juneteenth and Cinco de Mayo, where residents come together to share traditions and mark important occasions. Local high school graduates also celebrate their achievement here with family and friends.

The venue was renamed in 2012 to honor Junior Seau, a local athlete who would lead fitness routines here for visitors and the public. His connection to this waterfront space made him a familiar figure in the Oceanside community.
