Asian Garden Mall, Vietnamese shopping mall in Westminster, California, United States, in the Little Saigon neighborhood
Asian Garden Mall is a two-story shopping center in Westminster, California, located in the Little Saigon neighborhood. It holds hundreds of small, family-run shops selling fresh foods, spices, clothing, jewelry, electronics, and traditional remedies, alongside a food court focused on Vietnamese and other Asian dishes.
The mall opened in the 1980s, when the Vietnamese community in Westminster was growing rapidly following the end of the Vietnam War. It quickly became the main trading hub for Vietnamese and other Asian communities in the area.
The mall, also known as Phuoc Loc Tho, sits at the heart of Little Saigon and draws Vietnamese shoppers, families, and elders throughout the week. During Lunar New Year, the entrances fill with decorations and visitors, making it one of the most visible gathering spots in the neighborhood.
A large parking lot behind the building is the easiest way to arrive, and most visitors use the rear entrance as the main door. During busy periods like the summer Night Market, extra parking opens up on the southeast side of the building.
A small altar at the rear of the building lets visitors pay respects to their ancestors and carry out spiritual rituals. For many regular visitors, this stop is as meaningful as any of the shops.
