Incredicoaster, Steel roller coaster at Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim, United States.
Incredicoaster is a steel roller coaster at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, extending over 6,072 feet (1,850 meters) of track with a vertical loop, multiple hills, and reaching speeds of 55 miles per hour (88 kilometers per hour). The cars travel through several themed tunnels where guests experience animations and sound effects, while the open track runs along Pixar Pier and offers views over the park and surrounding area.
The roller coaster opened in 2001 as California Screamin as part of the Paradise Pier themed area and was the longest steel looping roller coaster in the world at the time. In 2018, the entire installation was renamed and rethemed as Incredicoaster after the Paradise Pier area was rebuilt into Pixar Pier.
The ride takes visitors on a chase as the Parr family searches for missing baby Jack-Jack, with music and sound effects from the film accompanying the journey. At night, the track lights up in shifting colors, and trains pass through illuminated tunnel sections with animated projections of film characters.
Riders need to measure at least 48 inches (122 centimeters) tall to experience this attraction, which operates with trains carrying 24 passengers each. Wait times are typically longest during late morning and early afternoon, while evening hours often offer shorter queues, especially after firework times.
The launch mechanism accelerates trains from zero to 55 miles per hour (88 kilometers per hour) within four seconds using a Linear Induction Motor system. The entire track structure required roughly 5.8 million pounds (2.6 million kilograms) of steel during construction and rises 120 feet (37 meters) above ground at its highest point.
