Jumpin' Jellyfish, Parachute ride in Paradise Gardens Park, Disney California Adventure and Mermaid Lagoon, Tokyo DisneySea, US and Japan
Jumpin' Jellyfish is a drop-tower ride with jellyfish-shaped cars positioned at two parks: Disney California Adventure's Paradise Gardens Park and Tokyo DisneySea's Mermaid Lagoon. The vehicles climb kelp-themed towers and drop in freefall, seating two passengers per cycle while offering open-air views throughout the motion.
The ride opened in 2001 at Disney California Adventure before being relocated to Paradise Gardens Park in 2018. This move reflected the park's expansion and refresh of its family-friendly attractions during that period.
Each location incorporates marine-inspired design elements that connect to their respective areas: Paradise Gardens Park and Mermaid Lagoon.
Riders must meet a minimum height requirement of 40 inches (102 cm), and each cycle lasts about 90 seconds. Guests using mobility assistance should check specific requirements since transferring may be necessary to board.
Unlike the removed Maliboomer attraction, this Intamin-manufactured ride maintains lower heights specifically engineered for younger visitors.
