Goofy's Sky School, Steel roller coaster in Disney California Adventure, Anaheim, US.
Goofy's Sky School is a steel roller coaster at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California. The ride runs along a 1,200-foot (366-meter) track with sharp turns and sudden drops, reaching a top speed of 27 miles per hour (43 km/h).
The attraction opened in 2001 as Mulholland Madness, mimicking a drive along the winding road through the hills of Los Angeles. It was redesigned in 2011 and reopened with a new theme based on a chaotic flight school.
The track plays out as a flight school where Goofy appears as instructor, showing his typical chaotic teaching style. Signs along the route display humorous flying lessons that recall classic cartoon animation from the 1940s.
Riders must be at least 42 inches (107 centimeters) tall to board the four-person cars. A separate single rider line and Lightning Lane reduce waiting time on busy days.
The design follows the basic principle of a wild mouse coaster but with gentler descents than usual. This change allows families with younger children to ride while keeping the characteristic surprise elements.
