Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!

Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! is a dark ride at Disney California Adventure, California, United States that moves guests through indoor spaces in four-seat taxis. The route passes several rooms with animated figures, lights, and projections telling the story of the two main characters bringing a child home.

The ride opened in 2006 and used an existing track layout that previously housed a different attraction. The conversion brought new scenery, characters, and technologies to the same rail path.

The vehicles pass through scenes featuring doors, factories, and scream stations based on the film's energy-harvesting concepts. These elements show what a monster world would look like if screams and laughter powered it.

The ride lasts about three minutes and has no minimum height requirement, so families with young children can board. Wait times are usually shorter than at other major attractions in the park, especially in the morning.

Some walls inside display colored lights that mimic Randall's chameleon-like camouflage, while the character appears to float through illusion effects. These techniques make characters appear in locations where no physical objects exist.
