Estadio Sonora, Baseball stadium in Hermosillo, Mexico
The Estadio Sonora features natural grass turf with field dimensions of 325 feet to left and right fields and 400 feet to center field.
Built in 2013 for 40 million USD, this modern facility replaced the former Estadio Héctor Espino as the primary baseball venue in Hermosillo.
The stadium design takes inspiration from El Colorado crater within the El Pinacate Biosphere Reserve, connecting sports infrastructure with regional geography.
The 16,000-seat stadium includes polypropylene seating, aluminum bleachers, and dedicated spaces for people with disabilities across multiple viewing sections.
The facility houses private suites with views of Hermosillo's skyline and features a 17 x 14 meter LED screen supported by six MUSCO lighting towers.
