The stadium's exterior was built to resemble the crater of El Pinacate, and its roof structure lets the setting sun cast a faint light on the field, delaying the need for artificial lighting. In December 2020 the broadcast booth was named after announcer Manuel Torres, who called games in Hermosillo for fifty years.
