The O. T. Bassett Tower rises 217 feet with 15 stories, featuring tan brick veneer and decorative stone elements at its Texas Avenue location.
Completed in 1930 by architects Trost & Trost, this structure maintained its position as El Paso's tallest building until the Hilton Hotel construction later that year.
The building's southern entrance displays a sculptured bust, potentially representing architect Henry Trost, reflecting the architectural influence of Eliel Saarinen's designs.
The structure, originally designed for medical practices and physicians, now undergoes transformation into an Aloft Hotel while maintaining its historical features.
The tower shares its architectural design with Phoenix's Luhrs Tower, as both were constructed simultaneously under Trost & Trost's direction.
