History
The building was constructed between 1956 and 1959 by the renowned firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. It held the status of Bogotá's tallest structure for several years after completion.
Culture
The lobby features a monumental abstract relief called 'El Dorado' by Colombian sculptor Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar. This artwork shapes the character of the entrance and reflects how modern design merged with artistic expression in Colombia.
