Teatro San Jorge

Teatro San Jorge is a movie theater with art deco features located in central Bogotá. The symmetrical facade showcases two prominent towers on the northern and southern ends that extend above the main building section.

The theater opened in 1938 based on designs by architect Alberto Manrique Martín. It became one of the most sophisticated cinemas in the city during the 1940s.

The theater served as a key venue where Bogotá audiences experienced both international and local cinema. It played an important role in how the city engaged with film culture during the mid-20th century.
