Cerro Nutibara, Hill in central Medellín, Colombia.
Cerro Nutibara is a hill in central Medellín that extends across approximately 33 hectares beside the Aburrá Valley next to the Medellín River. Rising about 80 meters above street level, it features multiple walking paths with viewpoints and planted green areas.
The hill was purchased by Medellín in the late 1920s and transformed into a public recreational park in the following years. This conversion turned it into a gathering space for community activities and leisure.
Outdoor art installations from local and international artists are scattered throughout the green spaces on the hill. These works invite visitors to encounter contemporary sculpture while walking through natural surroundings.
The site is open daily from early morning until late evening with multiple pathways accommodating different fitness levels. Bring appropriate footwear and water, especially on warm days.
A theater built on the northern slope in the 1980s continues to shape the cultural life of the place. This venue regularly hosts music and poetry events that draw audiences from across the city.
