Torres Municipality

Torres Municipality is an administrative area in northwestern Venezuela that encompasses sixteen parishes and numerous small communities spread across its territory. Carora serves as the administrative center where municipal government offices manage services for the region.

Carora, the principal town, was established in 1572 and became the hub of the region. The municipality took its present administrative form as Venezuela reorganized its territorial divisions.
