Medusa, Steel roller coaster at Six Flags México, Mexico.
Medusa is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags México with a track spanning 914 meters that features three inversions and reaches speeds of 93 kilometers per hour. The ride includes multiple twisting elements and reaches a height of 36 meters above the ground.
The original Medusa was a wooden coaster that was replaced with a steel version opening in June 2014. This redesign by Rocky Mountain Construction transformed the ride into an entirely new attraction while keeping the same location.
The name draws from Greek mythology and the legend of a creature with power over those who gazed upon it. Visitors notice how the twisted track design echoes this mythological theme throughout the ride experience.
Riders must meet a minimum height of 1.30 meters (4 feet 3 inches) to board the attraction due to safety requirements. Two trains operate simultaneously, each carrying 24 passengers, allowing the ride to process many guests throughout the day.
The ride features three Zero-G-Roll segments where riders experience weightlessness briefly during the inversions, combined with four sharply banked curves. These extreme elements create a memorable experience for those seeking intense thrills on a coaster.
