Museo Dolores Olmedo

The museum spans five buildings within a hacienda complex, displaying 145 paintings by Diego Rivera and 25 works by Frida Kahlo in dedicated galleries.

Businesswoman Dolores Olmedo established the museum in 1994 by transforming her estate into an exhibition space to house her substantial art collection.

The collection includes 6,000 pre-Hispanic artifacts and sculptures representing different periods of Mexican history, arranged in thematic exhibitions.

The museum provides guided tours in multiple languages, with extended hours during weekends and special exhibitions throughout the calendar year.

Peacocks and Xoloitzcuintli dogs roam freely through the museum gardens, continuing a tradition started by Dolores Olmedo during her residence.
