Tultitlán de Mariano Escobedo, Industrial city in State of Mexico, Mexico

Tultitlán de Mariano Escobedo is a large city in the State of Mexico with mixed residential and industrial areas spread across gently rolling terrain. The landscape transitions from flat plains to foothills near the Sierra de Guadalupe mountains to the north.

The Tepanecs established this settlement in 1356, and Cuauhtzinteuctli took the first rulership shortly after. Spanish arrival later introduced new governance and social structures to the region.

The June Festival brings craft vendors, food stalls, and musical performances throughout the city streets. Residents share traditional recipes and handicrafts with visitors who walk through the temporary markets.

The city has good bus connections and metro access to Mexico City, located just a short distance away. Visitors can easily move between this city and the capital to explore different areas.

Mammoth bones and early human tools have been discovered beneath the city, dating back thousands of years. These archaeological finds show that people lived in this area during some of the earliest periods of human settlement in the region.
