Tolimán

Tolimán is an administrative division in central Querétaro that covers mountains and valleys with several communities scattered across the region. The area includes traditional settlements and rural zones with local government structures and basic services.

The Otomí people inhabited this region long before Spanish colonizers arrived in the 16th century and established San Pedro Tolimán. This period marked a major shift in how local communities lived and organized themselves.
