Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, Wildlife ranch in San Antonio, Texas.
Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch is a wildlife facility spanning 450 acres across Texas Hill Country with rolling terrain, juniper thickets, and natural creek beds. Visitors drive personal vehicles along ranch paths to observe and feed more than 500 animals representing about 40 different species.
Ray and Trudy Soechting established the wildlife sanctuary in 1984 using animals sourced from zoos and exotic breeders. The operation has since grown into an established conservation facility.
The property holds Texas Land Heritage status, reflecting the family's commitment to preserving agricultural traditions while protecting wildlife across generations.
Access is by private vehicle along designated routes, allowing a self-paced experience of the grounds. Plan adequate time and be prepared for uneven terrain throughout your visit.
The facility organizes African species such as antelopes, giraffes, zebras, and rhinos into separate zones representing their distinct habitats. This geographic arrangement allows the animals to live in conditions closer to their natural environments.
