Enterprise Plaza is a 55-story, 230 m skyscraper at 1100 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston, Texas. Its dark brown facade is a dense grid of rectangular windows set between vertical and horizontal mullions, forming continuous columns and bands; a vertical strip with slightly different window spacing runs up the left side. The building rises straight from behind street trees.
The building opened in 1980 and held the title of tallest structure in Texas for about two years before another tower surpassed it in 1982. It was built during a period of rapid growth in Houston's downtown.
Enterprise Plaza takes its name from its main tenant, Enterprise Products, whose headquarters occupy the tower at 1100 Louisiana Street. The building sits in Houston's energy and financial corridor, and its tenant roster has long mixed energy firms such as Enbridge and Forest Oil with law practices like King & Spalding and Gibbs & Bruns.
The tower is best seen from the surrounding streets, where it stands among other downtown buildings and is easy to spot. Access inside is limited to tenants and their guests, so a visit from street level is the most practical option.
