Walter's

Walter's was a music venue in Northside Village that held around 190 people indoors with additional seating outdoors. The space featured a main stage area with professional sound equipment and served drinks throughout events.

The venue opened in 2000 on Washington Avenue and relocated to Naylor Street in 2011, operating there until closing in 2018. Through its years, it remained connected to the local music community through multiple phases of ownership.

This venue was a gathering place for fans of metal, punk, hardcore, and indie rock, hosting both local and traveling bands in a close setting. People came here to experience live performances in an intimate space away from larger commercial stages.

The space offered affordable drinks and maintained skilled sound engineers to manage live events smoothly. Plan ahead for parking in the surrounding neighborhood, as spaces were often limited in the area.

After founding owner Pam Robinson passed away in 2014, her son Zack Palmer took over and maintained the venue's commitment to underground music. This family continuity shaped how the space operated and what it meant to its community.
