The Reese Technology Center is a research and business facility in Lubbock with laboratories, offices, and meeting spaces for technology development. The center occupies a former military airfield and provides companies with modern infrastructure for innovation and collaboration.

The site was originally Reese Air Force Base, which closed in 1997 after decades of pilot training during the Cold War. Following the base closure, the grounds were converted into a research and technology center.

The site's name changed in 2025 to the Texas Tech University Reese National Security Complex, reflecting a research mission authorized by House Bill 5092. Its wind research partners include Vestas, the Danish turbine maker, and Group NIRE, a renewable energy firm Texas Tech created in 2010.

The complex sits on the former Reese Air Force Base grounds in western Lubbock, at the unincorporated community of Reese Center, reached via the West Texas plain west of the city. The SWiFT turbine site and the VorTECH tornado simulator are outdoor test areas, so expect open, windy ground and check access arrangements with the site before travelling.

The center operates a specialized wind energy research laboratory that develops technologies to improve power generation in the West Texas region. This laboratory focuses on real-world testing and data collection under actual field conditions.
