Homer Bryce Stadium, Football stadium in Nacogdoches, Texas, US.
Homer Bryce Stadium is the home field for Stephen F. Austin State University's Lumberjacks football team with artificial turf and seating for around 14,500 spectators in the primary sections. A large video display installed in 2016 ranks among the biggest in the region.
The stadium opened in 1973 as Lumberjack Stadium and received its current name in 1986 to honor a university benefactor. Major renovations in the 2010s modernized the facility significantly.
The facility brings the local community together to support the university's Lumberjacks football team. It also hosts high school playoff games that draw crowds from surrounding areas in East Texas.
Parking is available near the venue and it is easily accessible from downtown Nacogdoches. The best time to visit is during the college football season from September through November when games are held.
The stadium uses natural hillsides surrounding the field to create additional viewing areas for thousands of spectators. This geographic feature effectively doubles capacity without needing constructed barriers.
